Behind this piece
Silk viscose is a fabric that belongs to neither one world nor the other, and that tension is precisely its beauty. Woven to carry the luminosity of silk and the fluid drape of viscose, it holds printed floral motifs with particular fidelity, allowing colour to bloom rather than flatten. The palazzo silhouette here is generous and deliberate: an elastic waist that forgives movement, and a wide leg that pools at the ankle with quiet drama. Offered across seven considered shades, from the deep Billiard green to the warmth of Pumpkin, this is leisurewear that refuses to be ordinary.
How to style
In Lilac Rose, pair with an ivory cotton kurta, block-printed in Bagru, and flat Kolhapuri sandals for an unhurried weekend afternoon. The Pumpkin colourway earns its fullest expression alongside a hand-embroidered cream chikan kameez and gold jhumkas from Rajasthan. For a contemporary diaspora dressing moment, wear Billiard with a fitted silk-knit top, a structured silk dupatta worn as a stole, and pointed kitten heels. The wide leg balances a fitted upper half beautifully, and the printed floral motifs mean additional pattern is rarely necessary.
Fabric & care
Silk viscose is a sensitive blend that rewards attentiveness. Hand-wash in cool water using a mild, pH-neutral detergent, working gently without wringing or twisting the fabric. Never soak for longer than three to four minutes. Rinse thoroughly and press out excess water by folding, not squeezing, the garment in a clean cotton cloth. Dry flat in shade, away from direct sunlight, which will fade the printed florals over time. Steam rather than iron to restore fall. Store folded loosely in a breathable cotton bag; avoid plastic, which traps moisture and weakens the fibre.
